Gator Train Jr.

Ages: Girls & boys age 24 months to entering Preschool*
Format: Three two-week sessions and one one-week session designed around themes; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions. 
Location: Laurel’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights
Session 1 (2 weeks): June 12-June 23 (no camp June 19) - $720
Session 2 (2 weeks): June 26-July 7 (no camp July 3 & 4) - $640
Session 3 (2 weeks): July 10-July 21 - $800
Session 4 (1 week): July 24-July 28 - $400
Time: 9:00 am-4:00 pm

All aboard! It’s time to ride the Gator Train! Gator Train Jr. campers will explore the world around them as they set off on week-long adventures, focusing on themes designed to spark imagination, wonder and creativity. Led by Laurel faculty, each week will be filled with outdoor play, music and movement, creative art, water and sensory play, songs and stories, yoga and so much more! Gator Train Jr. campers will have an opportunity to enjoy a special activity each week brought on site specifically for them. Seats on this train are limited...make your reservation today!

*Campers attending Gator Train Jr. are not required to be potty trained.

Gator Train Jr. (Half Day) *New for 2023*

Ages: Girls & boys age 24 months to entering Preschool*
Format: One two-week session and one one-week session designed around themes; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions.
Location: Laurel’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights
Session 1 (2 weeks): June 26-July 7 (no camp July 3 & 4) - $320
Session 2 (1 week): July 24-July 28 - $200
Time: 9:00-11:30 am**

Format: Three two-week sessions and one one-week session designed around themes; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions.

Forest Explorers Jr.

Ages: Girls & boys entering Preschool, at least 3 years old AND fully potty trained*
Format: Two two-week sessions 
Location: Laurel’s Butler Campus in Russell Township**
Session 1: June 12-June 23 (no camp June 19) - $720
Session 2: July 10-July 21 - $800
Time: 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Mud, mess, and memories! It’s time to go on a magical forest adventure in our 150-acre Butler Campus. This one-of-a-kind outdoor immersion camp for young children is modeled after Laurel’s extremely popular Outdoor Prekindergarten program and is led by Laurel faculty. Our littlest campers will explore nature in developmentally appropriate ways. They will participate in open-ended play and adventure in and around our activity area. Campers will hike in the woods, observe nature through the lens of an explorer, wade in the creek, and channel their creativity and imagination in the mud kitchen and with process art opportunities. This camp runs outdoors in all weather—in the event of lightning or high wind, our cozy Yurts will provide shelter. Campers must be on track to enter Preschool in the fall, be fully potty trained by the start of camp, come dressed in appropriate gear for each day and have a sense of adventure! Registration for this camp is limited to no more than 11 campers per week.

*Campers attending Forest Explorers Jr. must be fully potty trained without the use of pull-ups and have the ability to use the restroom independently.
**Shuttle service from Laurel’s Lyman Campus to the Butler Campus is available for an additional charge.

Forest Explorers

Ages: Girls & boys entering Prekindergarten, Kindergarten, at least four years old AND fully potty trained.*
Format: Three two-week sessions; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions. 
Location: Laurel’s Butler Campus in Russell Township**
Session 1: June 12-June 23 (no camp June 19) - $720
Session 2: June 26-July 7 (no camp July 3 & 4) - $640
Session 3: July 10-July 21 - $800
Time: 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Salamanders, spiders and sparrows! Each camper will experience a variety of process art opportunities throughout each session. This camp runs outdoors in all weather—in the event of lightning or high wind, our cozy Yurts will provide shelter. Campers must be at least four years old and fully potty trained by the start of camp, be appropriately dressed for the weather and have a sense of adventure! Registrations for this camp are limited to no more than 12 campers per week.
