Butler Explorers 1

Ages: Girls & boys entering Kindergarten or First Grade and at least five years old.
Format: Three two-week sessions; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions.

Calling all nature explorers! Salamanders, spiders, and sparrows await as campers set off on a magical forest adventure at Laurel’s sprawling, 150-acre Butler Campus! This one-of-a-kind outdoor immersion camp is perfect for the youngest nature enthusiasts—designed for kids ages 5 and up who are rising into Kindergarten or First Grade. Each day, Butler Explorers will venture along hidden wooded trails, splash in cool creeks, and watch for birds and wildlife near peaceful ponds. From hands-on nature discovery to cooperative games, arts and crafts, and an exciting off-campus field trip each session, every moment is packed with adventure.

No two days are alike, with camp-wide events adding even more excitement! Rain or shine, our campers thrive outdoors, with cozy Yurts ready to shelter them during thunderstorms or high winds. With a cap of only 20 campers per week, this is an exclusive opportunity for kids to connect deeply with nature and make unforgettable memories. Prepare to dive into a world of wonder—just bring your sense of adventure and weather-ready gear!

Get ready for an epic adventure! Laurel’s Butler Campus, spread across 150 acres of beautiful forests, creeks, and ponds, is the perfect setting for older explorers entering Grades 2 and 3. Campers will dive deep into nature, explore new trails, and even experience the thrill of the low-ropes elements on Laure’s Project Adventure Ropes Course, where they are sure to build confidence, work together, and develop teamwork skills!

With specialized programming designed just for them, these older explorers will uncover fascinating aspects of the natural world while they learn about local wildlife, discover ecosystems, and get hands-on with nature in ways that go beyond traditional exploration. They’ll create, play cooperative games, and take part in camp-wide events, plus enjoy an exciting off-campus field trip each session.
Rain or shine, camp is always on—the Reid Lodge is ready for any sudden thunderstorms or high winds. With registration limited to 20 campers per week, it’s a unique opportunity to bond with friends, embrace the wild, and make unforgettable summer memories. Do you wish you'd been born in the past? Do you daydream about being a pioneer on the prairie, a Revolutionary War patriot, or a World War 2 era girl on the homefront? Do you love hands-on crafts, historical cooking and sewing, and designing doll-sized accessories? If this sounds like the perfect way to spend a summer day, then Dream. Dare. Doll. Camp is for you!  Over two weeks, we will read books from the American Girl series and find ways to bring history to life. Be prepared to learn, create, and most importantly, have fun! Bring your favorite doll and your curiosity to this fantastic camp!

Laurel LEGO Camp

Ages: Girls and Boys entering Grades 2-5

Unleash your creativity and engineering skills at Laurel LEGO Camp, a fun-filled one-week adventure for aspiring architects, inventors and creators! Each day, campers will tackle exciting LEGO challenges designed to inspire problem-solving, teamwork and innovation. From constructing towering skyscrapers to designing intricate mazes or vehicles, every challenge will test their imaginations and critical thinking.

In addition to the challenges, campers will have dedicated free-building time to bring their own visions to life, whether it's crafting their dream house, building a robot, or creating fantastical worlds. With endless possibilities and encouragement from our supportive staff, campers will explore the limitless potential of LEGO bricks in a fun, collaborative environment.

Laurel's Crafty Camper Crew is a vibrant and inspiring camp where creativity knows no bounds! Girls will come together to explore a world of crafting wonders, from cupcake decorating that turns treats into edible art, to intricate beading projects that sparkle with personality. Campers unleash their imaginations and design DIY keepsakes they’ll cherish forever.

At Laurel's Crafty Camper Crew, every camper is encouraged to dream big, try new things, and express their unique style in a supportive and fun environment. With hands-on activities that range from paper crafting to painting and beyond, there's something exciting for every budding artist.
