Butler Explorers 2

Ages: Girls & boys entering Grades 2 and 3
Format: Three two-week sessions; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions. 
Location: Laurel’s Butler Campus in Novelty*

Get ready for an epic adventure! Laurel’s Butler Campus, spread across 150 acres of beautiful forests, creeks, and ponds, is the perfect setting for older explorers entering Grades 2 and 3. Campers will dive deep into nature, explore new trails, and even experience the thrill of the low-ropes elements on Laure’s Project Adventure Ropes Course, where they are sure to build confidence, work together, and develop teamwork skills!

With specialized programming designed just for them, these older explorers will uncover fascinating aspects of the natural world while they learn about local wildlife, discover ecosystems, and get hands-on with nature in ways that go beyond traditional exploration. They’ll create, play cooperative games, and take part in camp-wide events, plus enjoy an exciting off-campus field trip each session.
Rain or shine, camp is always on—the Reid Lodge is ready for any sudden thunderstorms or high winds. With registration limited to 20 campers per week, it’s a unique opportunity to bond with friends, embrace the wild, and make unforgettable summer memories. Just bring your curiosity, spirit of teamwork, and weather-ready gear for a summer adventure like no other!

Butler Young Adventurers 1

Ages: Girls & boys entering Grades 4 and 5
Format: Three two-week sessions; campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple sessions.

Get ready for a summer of excitement! At Laurel’s sprawling 150-acre Butler Campus, campers will dive into adventurous activities tailored just for them. With experiences like mountain biking, beginner rock climbing, paddle boarding, and exploring on the water, each day offers a new thrill and a chance to build confidence. Specialized field trips focus on skill-building, giving campers even more chances to challenge themselves and work as a team.

On the Project Adventure Ropes Course, campers will master low-rope elements, where they’ll learn creative problem-solving, grow as leaders, and build strong communication skills. This camp is designed for young explorers with a spirit for adventure who are ready for days filled with fun, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. All Dolled Up

Ages: Girls entering Grades 2-5 
Format: One two-week session.

Do you wish you'd been born in the past? Do you daydream about being a pioneer on the prairie, a Revolutionary War patriot, or a World War 2 era girl on the homefront? Do you love hands-on crafts, historical cooking and sewing, and designing doll-sized accessories? If this sounds like the perfect way to spend a summer day, then Dream. Dare. Doll. Camp is for you!  Over two weeks, we will read books from the American Girl series and find ways to bring history to life. Be prepared to learn, create, and most importantly, have fun! Bring your favorite doll and your curiosity to this fantastic camp!

Laurel LEGO Camp

Ages: Girls and Boys entering Grades 2-5 
Format: One two-week session.

Unleash your creativity and engineering skills at Laurel LEGO Camp, a fun-filled one-week adventure for aspiring architects, inventors and creators! Each day, campers will tackle exciting LEGO challenges designed to inspire problem-solving, teamwork and innovation. From constructing towering skyscrapers to designing intricate mazes or vehicles, every challenge will test their imaginations and critical thinking.

In addition to the challenges, campers will have dedicated free-building time to bring their own visions to life, whether it's crafting their dream house, building a robot, or creating fantastical worlds. With endless possibilities and encouragement from our supportive staff, campers will explore the limitless potential of LEGO bricks in a fun, collaborative environment.

DASH into Robotics! (Girls Only)

Ages: Girls entering Grades 3-5
Format: One week-long session 
Location: Laurel’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights
Dates: July 21 - 25 - $575

Have you ever wanted to build and program your own robot? Now you can! Let your innovation and creativity flow as you design, build and code robots. Start off by learning the basics of coding by creating algorithms, debugging and problem solving. Program a LEGO Mindstorm robot and prepare for a battlebots-style competition. Design mazes and program the Wonder Workshop’s DASH robot to complete missions. This camp encourages you to tackle computational thinking, collaboration, coding and problem solving. And at the end of the week, you’ll take home your very own DASH robot. How cool is that?!

Girls with Books & Bikes: Exciting Adventures for the Brain & Body!

Ages: Girls entering Grades 4-6
Format: Two one-week sessions
Location: Laurel’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights
Session 1: (1 week) June 16-June 20 - $425
Session 2: (1 week) June 23-July 3 (no camp July 4) - $340

Join us for an exciting girls-only adventure at this one-week camp! Sign up for one or two sessions and enjoy a perfect blend of activity and creativity. Each day, campers will embark on fun biking adventures through scenic Shaker Heights near Laurel’s Lyman Campus. Afternoons will feature engaging book club discussions led by two Laurel School faculty members, exploring a group-chosen book, as well as personalized support for individual or summer reading books.

What to bring: Campers must bring their own bike and helmet and should be comfortable riding. Bikes will be securely stored at Lyman Campus for the week.

Laurel's School for Witchcraft and Wizardry

Ages: Girls & Boys entering Grades 3-6
Format: One one-week session.

Calling all witches and wizards! Join us for a magical week of potion-making, spell-casting, Quidditch playing, and more. Campers can expect a full week of wizardly excitement, including--but not limited to--Harry Potter-themed crafts, scavenger hunts, read-alongs, writing activities, and trivia.

In order to accommodate other campers, if your camper did this camp last year, please do not enroll them this year. Previous campers will be taken out of the camp.

Start Strong: Summer Work and Strategies to Prepare for the Year Ahead

Ages: Girls entering Grades 4-10
Format: One one-week session
Location: Laurel’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights
Dates: July 21-25 - $500
Time: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Get Organized, Gator! Summer work got you down? Pack it up and head to camp! This week-long camp will provide students opportunities to fine tune their executive functioning skills and get ready for the upcoming school year. We'll work with students to develop the strategies and habits necessary to improve their organization, planning, time management, attention regulation, and overall metacognition. We'll use examples from daily life as well as academic domains in their assigned summer work. Between lessons, campers will play games, get active in and around the Lyman Campus, enjoy some special cold summer treats all while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.
